Bermuda is one of the most remote islands in the world, with the nearest land being North Carolina, USA, about 500 miles to its west. With only 21.61 miles of land area, Bermuda is one of the most densely populated islands in the world, as its population is around 60,000 people!

Bermuda only joined the Island Games Association in 2003, and so far has only attended 4 of the 13 games, but have recently been given the honour of hosting the 2013 games.
