Minorca (or Menorca) is 694.39 km squared. El Toro is its highest point, at 358 m/1174 ft above sea level. The island has a population of around 88,500.

Menorca was accepted as the 25th Island to be a member of the IIGA at the 2005 annual meeting during the games week, allowing them to take part in the Island Games in 2007 and 2009 so far.
