Rhodes covers an area of 1,398km square, and has 220km of coastline. The population of Rhodes is about 100,000, which is impressive, as in 1947, after the Second World War its population was closer to 55,000.

Rhodes joined the IIGA in 1999, and they hosted the NatWest Island Games XII in 2007.
