Saint Helena measures about 122km squared and has a population of 4,255. The population are primarily desendents from British soldiers, settlers and seamen, South-east Asia and Madagascar slaves, and a small amount of Chinese and African labourers.

Saint Helena is one of the 15 founding islands of the International Island Games Association.
